Change or end someone's access
Change a person's role, deactivate or remove their login, withdraw an invite, or leave an organisation.
Use this when someone changes job, leaves, or was invited by mistake. Their access stops at once. Everything they signed, recorded or uploaded stays, with their name on it.
Change a role
- Open People. Find the person under People with a login.
- Press Change role.
- Choose Owner, Admin or Staff and press Save role.
Only an owner can change roles or make someone an owner. An organisation can have more than one owner.
Deactivate or remove someone
- Open People. Find the person under People with a login.
- Press Deactivate to pause their access. Press Remove from organisation when they have left.
- Read what happens and confirm.
After you confirm:
- They can't open your organisation, on any device. They have to sign in again everywhere.
- Their staff link stops working.
- They stop getting reminders and emails about your organisation.
- Their signatures, records, documents and history stay, with their name.
- They still count as a login until the end of your current billing period. During the free trial their login is free from that day.
A deactivated person shows Deactivated. Press Reactivate to give their access back with the same role. Send them a new staff link if they need one. To bring back someone you removed, send them a new invite. See Give someone app access.

Withdraw an invite
Under Invites waiting to be accepted, press Withdraw invite and confirm. The invite link stops working straight away.
Leave an organisation
On your own row under People with a login, press Leave organisation. An organisation always needs one active owner. If you are the only owner, make someone else an owner first.
Good to know
- Admins can deactivate, remove and reactivate staff, and withdraw staff invites. Owners can do this for everyone.
- Nobody can change their own role or deactivate themselves.
